ABOUT

I’m a software engineer who enjoys turning ideas, requirements and problems into things people can actually use.

My career has moved across software engineering, web development, enterprise applications, technical instruction and digital solutions. I started out building and teaching — three years training developers while leading application development — then moved through maritime software into membership platforms and CRM-connected business systems.
That path means I’m comfortable working between business requirements, user interfaces, application logic, databases, APIs, integrations, deployment and troubleshooting — the front of a digital experience and the systems behind it.
Alongside that, I’ve built WordPress and custom websites for non-profits, businesses, hospitality brands, engineering firms and individuals — because sometimes what an organisation needs most is simply a website that works.

HOW I THINK ABOUT SOFTWARE

/01 Understand the problem

Technology should serve the requirement.

/02 Build for the user

Good software should be understandable and useful.

/03 Integrate intelligently

Systems rarely exist in isolation.

/04 Make it reliable

Testing, troubleshooting and maintenance matter as much as building.
